Popular amongst children in the Netherlands, but definitely also loved by grown-ups, biscuit baker Hellema was looking to restyle its Buurman & Buurman biscuit packaging. The difficulty was, to do so in a way that would make the biscuits appealing to both young and old. While also still being recognizable as the tasty and trusted biscuits they all love.
New but reassuringly familiar
Was this a case of someone wanting to have their cake and eat it too? Fortunately, our knowledge of the market stood us in good stead in finding a successful solution for this challenge. We managed to design new packaging that not only gave the biscuits a fresh appeal, but was also reassuringly familiar to loyal Buurman & Buurman biscuit lovers.
